Building a community through music

Nachbartöne - Neighbour tones is our newly embarked project. We aim to bring together musicians, pedagogues and artists with the children and families of our music club as well as those living in the neighbourhood. 

We are overjoyed to be among the 19 projects from all over Germany to win the support of the LIZ MOHN KULTUR UND MUSIK STIFTUNG

Nachbartöne Konzert I

November 17 17:00

We are thrilled to host as our first Artist in residence, the virtuoso Oud player Nabil Arbaain. Together with Percussionist Ali Hasan, Nabil will present a unique program of traditional Arab music and his own compositions for Oud.

This concert takes place in the refugee center on Strassburger str. We invite you to enjoy a one of a kind concert and meet the community of the center. 

Free admission - donations for the music club are greatly appreciated.

Die KIEZCHORISTEN
Led by Marion Haak -Schulenburg

Wednesdays 16:00-17:30

Our main aim is the opening of our choir groups to participants from our neighbourhood.

We offer two age groups:

Wednesday  16:00-16:45

for  children ages 5-11

Wednesday 16:45 -17:30

for girls ages 11-16

The choirs are busy preparing a festive program together with our artist in residence Nabil Arbaain!
